Machinist I

About the role

Airbus is seeking a Machinist I to join its Manufacturing team at the Mobile, Alabama facility. You will work on the shop floor of a leading aerospace production environment, contributing to the assembly of A220 and A320 family aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of machining, including setup and operation of 3‑axis and 5‑axis CNC mills, lathes, routers and lasers.
• Program and run manual milling machines and create/interpret G‑code using CAM software.
• Read and follow engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications to produce aerospace‑grade parts.
• Work with materials such as aluminum, titanium and stainless steel while maintaining strict quality standards.
• Collaborate with the production team to meet schedule targets and ensure part traceability.

Required profile

• Experience with CNC machining equipment and manual milling.
• Ability to read and write G‑code and use CAM software.
• Familiarity with Catia or similar CAD/CAM environments.
• Understanding of aerospace material properties and quality requirements.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety on the shop floor.
