Machining Technical Trainer

About the role

Moog is seeking a Machining Technical Trainer to join its new training centre in East Aurora, NY. The trainer will work onsite with current employees, new hires and apprentices, delivering hands‑on instruction on CNC and manual lathe machining to support Moog’s precision manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs covering machine setup, tooling selection, blueprint interpretation, inspection techniques and troubleshooting.
• Conduct hands‑on workshops, seminars and online courses for a range of learners.
• Assess skills gaps, develop curricula and create training materials aligned with Moog’s processes.
• Coach and mentor students on machining safety, best practices and product knowledge.
• Maintain training records and evaluate program effectiveness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical background.
• Minimum seven years of lathe machining experience, both CNC and manual.
• Proven experience delivering technical training and mentoring in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.
