Machine Operator – Laser Welder

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Machine (Laser Welder) Operator to join our fast‑growing production team in Bowling Green. The role involves operating both robotic and handheld laser welding equipment to produce high‑quality components while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up fixtures and operate the Amada FLW 3000 robotic laser welder and the IPG handheld laser welder.
• Load welding programs, read blueprints, and align components according to specifications.
• Inspect welded surfaces, perform spot inspections, and conduct rework on non‑conforming parts.
• Maintain accurate production counts, complete paperwork, and follow all safety protocols.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on welding equipment and assist in training other fabrication staff.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years proven welding experience, including laser welding.
• Hands‑on experience operating robotic welding cells (Amada FLW 3000).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, tape measures and GD&T.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb and stand on concrete floors for extended periods.
