Machine Operator

About the role

The Machine Operator is responsible for the performance, safety, and efficiency of a designated production machine. Working in a food‑safe environment, the operator ensures high uptime, minimal scrap, and compliance with GMP and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain machine uptime and minimize downtime through proactive monitoring.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, or electrical issues.
• Perform product inspections, packaging, trimming, and ensure data accuracy for all transactions.
• Lead continuous‑improvement activities with production, maintenance, and engineering teams.
• Mentor and train new hires and coworkers on proper operating techniques.
• Execute good housekeeping tasks and adhere to all safety and food‑safety protocols.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; trades training is a plus.
• At least three years of manufacturing experience as a production or maintenance leader/operator.
• Ability to read precision measuring tools and interpret basic mechanical and pneumatic schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and support decision‑making.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 lb, and work in a noisy manufacturing environment.
