Machine Operator 3 – Production Equipment

About the role

The Machine Operator 3 is a key position on the production floor, responsible for ensuring that critical equipment runs safely and efficiently. You will operate multiple machines, maintain product flow, and support a fast‑paced, 24‑hour plant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow GMP, PPE, safety, SQF, HACCP and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift inspections of blades, wash systems, lubricants and sanitation.
• Identify equipment inefficiencies and carry out preventative maintenance when needed.
• Execute start‑up procedures for filters, flumes, wash tanks and related systems.
• Manage water levels across flume branches and operate pasteurizer systems.
• Select appropriate knives based on product specifications and verify cut dimensions.
• Maintain uninterrupted product flow by coordinating change‑overs and clean breaks.
• Prepare chemical mixtures to protect product while staying within food‑safety limits.
• Conduct visual checks for defects, foreign objects, size, color and overall quality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• GED or High School Diploma.
• Ability to read, write and speak one of the core languages (English, Spanish, Creole, French, Hindi).
• Willingness to work in a cold, wet, fast‑paced, 24‑hour plant environment.

Required skills

• Operation of Atlas, ABL, Pasturizer and Clean‑Room equipment.
• Knowledge of GMP, SQF and HACCP compliance.
• Preventative maintenance of production machinery.
• Start‑up procedures for filters, flumes and wash tanks.
• Chemical mixture preparation for food safety.
• Visual quality inspection of finished product.
