Machine Learning Engineer – Remote, $90/hr

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join our advanced AI research and evaluation team on a remote, hourly contract basis. You will work on challenging, real‑world ML problems, helping to shape the next generation of AI systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end machine learning solutions for prediction and modeling tasks.
• Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing across tabular, text, image, and time‑series datasets.
• Train, tune, and evaluate models using appropriate validation strategies and metrics.
• Develop high‑quality reference implementations following industry best practices.
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results to ensure reproducibility.
• Review and validate the technical quality of project deliverables.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience building, training, and optimizing machine learning models.
• Strong ability to work independently on open‑ended problems.
• Experience with one or more domains such as tabular ML, NLP, computer vision, recommendation, ranking, or time‑series forecasting.
