About the role

As a Machine Learning Engineer on Zillow’s Rich Media Virtual Staging AI team, you will help turn photos, video, and spatial signals into structured representations that power immersive, AI‑driven home‑shopping experiences used by millions of customers.

Key responsibilities

• Productionalization: Convert research code into production‑ready, optimized models; build CI/CD pipelines for rapid model deployment; enhance monitoring systems for reliability and performance insight.
• Data ownership: Lead data‑engineering projects, manage team datasets, and collaborate with scientists and other teams to prepare data for training.
• Training & experimentation: Support large‑scale model training, establish best practices, and share expertise on performance and software engineering principles.
• Modeling: Track cutting‑edge research and adapt novel methods to create new product experiences or improve existing ones.
• Dev & MLOps: Define code‑quality, testing, and ownership standards; participate in on‑call rotation to ensure service stability.

Required profile

• Strong interest in operating at the intersection of machine‑learning modeling and system engineering.
• Experience delivering production‑grade ML systems and collaborating across applied science and engineering teams.
• Ability to work independently in a remote US‑based environment.
