Machine Learning Engineer (Hybrid) – Indianapolis

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join Rolls‑Royce’s Indianapolis team. The role combines AI/ML development, software engineering, and data science to deliver insights for our engine products. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT and Fleet engineering teams to identify and implement digital technology solutions.
• Clean, explore, and analyze large datasets from engine sensors, test rigs, and fleet operations.
• Design, train, and validate machine learning models for knowledge search, anomaly detection, production support, and predictive maintenance.
• Document methodologies and present findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Commitment to safety, integrity, simplicity and making a difference.

Required skills

• Machine Learning model development and validation.
• Data cleaning and large‑scale data analysis.
• Predictive maintenance techniques.
