Lower School Teaching Assistant (K-5)

About the role
Sinai Akiba Academy is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support its Lower School (kindergarten through 5th grade). Working closely with lead teachers, you will help deliver curriculum, prepare materials, and nurture students’ academic, social, and emotional growth.
Key responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers with curriculum delivery, instructional material preparation, and small‑group instruction.
- Supervise students during recess, lunch, transitions, and other non‑instructional times.
- Support classroom management and online learning platforms (Zoom, SeeSaw) as needed.
- Model the school’s philosophy and core values in all interactions.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school‑wide events.
- Collaborate with staff on interdisciplinary projects and RULER/Responsive Classroom practices.
Required profile
- Associate degree or equivalent education background.
- Professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and integrity.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support student development.
