Lower School French Teacher

About the role

The Lower School French Teacher will deliver French instruction to students from kindergarten through fifth grade, creating engaging, age‑appropriate lessons that foster language acquisition and cultural appreciation. The role also includes active participation in the broader school community through advisory duties, event support, and extracurricular involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Teach French to students from kindergarten through fifth grade, designing age‑appropriate lessons and assessments.
• Develop and adapt curriculum to align with school standards and the diverse needs of learners.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and communicate with parents as needed.
• Participate in school life by serving as advisor, chaperoning trips, coaching, and supporting special events.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in French, Education, or a related field.
• Experience teaching French to elementary‑age students.
• Commitment to an inclusive, diverse learning community.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Required skills

• Fluency in French language.
