Logistics Technician (CDL) – Warehouse & Transportation

About the role

BASF’s Performance Materials division in Malcom, IA is seeking a Logistics Technician with a CDL to support the safe and efficient movement of materials between warehouses and production plants. The role combines truck and forklift operation with documentation and inventory tracking to keep the supply chain flowing.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a Class A semi‑truck to transport materials to production sites.
• Drive a forklift to load and unload trucks, band and shrink‑wrap drums, and label containers.
• Process internal paperwork and use computer systems to record inventory movements.
• Collaborate with operations, planning, and quality teams to ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, lifting up to 50 lb as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; at least 6 months experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting (preferred).
• Class A CDL certification.
• Good computer proficiency.
• Attention to detail, strong communication, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
