Logistics Technician (CDL) – Warehouse & Transport

About the role

We are seeking a Logistics Technician with a Class A CDL to join BASF’s Performance Materials team in Malcom, Iowa. In this on‑site role you will support the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods between warehouses and production plants, contributing to our sustainability‑focused plastics solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with operations to deliver materials to production lines on schedule.
• Operate a semi‑truck and forklift safely to load, unload, and transport pallets, drums, and containers.
• Band and shrink‑wrap drums, label containers, and perform other packaging tasks.
• Process internal transfer paperwork and use computer systems to track inventory movements.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (minimum).
• At least 6 months experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (preferred).
• Valid Class A CDL.
• Good computer proficiency.
• Ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and lift up to 50 lb occasionally.

Required skills

• Class A CDL operation.
• Forklift operation (or willingness to be trained).
• Semi‑truck driving.
• Computer systems for inventory and documentation.
