Logistics Planner

About the role

The Logistics Planner will coordinate and optimise the movement of cargo across Maersk's global supply chain network. You will work closely with drivers, terminals and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, cost‑effective deliveries while maintaining high levels of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate cargo movement across trucking networks, updating schedules 3‑4 days in advance.
• Monitor shipment schedules, manage real‑time adjustments and resolve exceptions such as delays or capacity shortages.
• Optimise transportation routes, capacity utilisation and equipment allocation.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in the Transportation Management System (TMS) and other operational platforms.
• Collaborate with on‑site Logistics Planners to ensure continuous coverage and compliance with safety, customs and company policies.

Required profile

• Experience in fast‑paced, high‑volume logistics environments.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make data‑driven decisions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with drivers, customers, carriers and internal teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with transportation management systems (TMS).
• Familiarity with terminal and logistics operating systems.
