Logistics Officer (Data Analytics & Business Intelligence)

About the role

The Department of Operational Support at the United Nations seeks a Logistics Officer specialized in Data Analytics and Business Intelligence to strengthen supply‑chain reporting and performance management. Based in New York, you will work within the Enabling and Outreach Service to support data‑driven decision‑making across the Secretariat.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice on supply‑chain data analytics, business intelligence and reporting requirements to the Chief of Service and stakeholders.
• Design and implement automated data pipelines, validation and transformation processes for performance analysis.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures and KPI measurement frameworks for vendor registration and outreach processes.
• Create and maintain BI dashboards, contribute to business requirement documents, and ensure integration of data flows into UN supply‑chain management dashboards.
• Identify root causes of under‑performance, propose corrective actions, and apply data‑science techniques to improve processes.
• Train and cross‑train supervised staff, assess training needs and promote high‑quality work.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in logistics, supply‑chain management or related fields with a focus on data analytics.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills to advise senior officials and collaborate with diverse UN entities.
