Logistics Lead

About the role

The Logistics Lead supports the logistics department by managing inbound freight, small parcels, and outbound shipments while maintaining accurate inventory in SAP. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and Production Lead to ensure smooth operations and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule outbound shipments (including international freight) and prepare related documents such as invoices, BOLs, and labels.
• Receive and process freight and parcels in SAP, perform physical put‑away, and conduct visual inspections of incoming goods.
• Execute SAP transactions: goods receipt, transfer posting, inventory adjustments, and COGI error resolution.
• Maintain and improve the cycle‑count program; administer annual and plant‑wide counts.
• Create SOPs, documentation, and templates (e.g., in OneNote).
• Set daily logistics priorities with the Supply Chain Manager and Production Lead.
• Participate in production planning meetings and cross‑train logistics team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Warehouse or logistics/shipping experience.
• High school diploma or GED; SAP or ERP experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas).
• Ability to operate forklift, pallet jack, and overhead crane and become certified to train others.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to stand long periods, lift 35‑40 lb regularly, and perform stooping, reaching, and crouching.
• Continuous‑improvement mindset and ability to reprioritize throughout the day.
