Logistics Engineer

About the role

The Logistics Engineer will provide product support for Commercial Engine Control Programs based in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Working closely with the Product Support Engineering Lead, the incumbent will manage costing, scheduling, project management, technical authoring, and configuration management for assigned programs.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation, maintenance, and revision control of technical documentation.
• Act as liaison between Product Support Engineering, Aftermarket, and Production teams, representing the voice of the customer.
• Respond to customer inquiries regarding fielded products and associated ground support equipment.
• Evaluate Commercial Product Support Agreements (PSA) and Customer Support Agreements (CSA) for ILS compliance.
• Manage development of technical manual plans, material creation, verification, and validation.
• Ensure Engineering Change Requests address total logistics impact.
• Lead internal and external customer relations to capture additional work.
• Implement company policies for ILS design/support and drive continuous improvement of ILS processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or scientific field or equivalent.
• 3‑5 years of experience in logistics engineering or related disciplines such as reliability, maintainability, safety, or field engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with personal computers and MS Office tools.
• Fluency with engineering drawings, change documentation, and configuration management.
• Familiarity with commercial technical publications process and ATA specifications.
• Knowledge of ISO‑9001 quality‑management techniques.
