Logistics Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to oversee daily transportation operations across two company locations. You will manage both company‑owned fleet vehicles and third‑party carriers, ensuring goods move efficiently, on time, and cost‑effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch company drivers and external carriers based on production needs and delivery deadlines.
• Maintain daily dispatch schedules, trip assignments, and route plans for multiple sites.
• Monitor transportation activities, making real‑time adjustments for delays or urgent requests.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers, providing instructions, updates, and problem‑solving support.
• Coordinate with third‑party providers to secure additional hauling capacity when required.
• Plan and optimize routes to maximize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve on‑time performance.
• Track shipments from dispatch through delivery, updating status and maintaining accurate documentation.
• Enter and maintain dispatch information in ERP, TMS, and other internal systems.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
• Identify opportunities to reduce freight costs and improve dispatch efficiency.

• Proactive problem‑solver with a focus on customer service.

Required skills

• Experience using ERP systems.
• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
