Logistics Coordinator I – Contract

About the role

Airbus U.S. Space & Defense is seeking a Logistics Coordinator I on a contract basis to support the internal material flow for its Final Assembly Line. The role involves receiving, inspecting, managing inventory, preparing kits, delivering components to the line, and handling returns, all while adhering to quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical control, identification and labeling of incoming parts according to internal procedures and SAP quality decisions.
• Store parts in the warehouse following storage and ESD guidelines.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through SAP transactions and physical handling.
• Prepare kits using FIFO, bag and label components, and execute kit receipt in SAP (MIGO).
• Pick and scan components for the Final Assembly Line, deliver kits line‑side on schedule.
• Package parts and returns following internal processes.

Required profile

• High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year experience in warehouse, kitting or manufacturing; aerospace or ESD experience is a plus.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, shifts and overtime as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP (or other MRP systems).
• Forklift certification (preferred).
• Experience operating strapping and wrapping machines.
• Knowledge of electrostatic discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
