Logistician II – US Coast Guard Support

About the role

The Logistician II will provide logistics and supply support to the United States Coast Guard aviation community, including the Aviation Logistics Center, Aviation Projects Acquisition Center, and Office of Aeronautical Engineering. This position ensures aircraft maintenance parts are available, cost‑effective, and compliant with USCG procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assess equipment maintenance and logistics support requirements for USCG aircraft.
• Submit Supply Item Change Requests (SICR) and prepare procurement documentation.
• Review data to determine item interchangeability or substitution options.
• Evaluate logistical support plans for feasibility, efficiency, and cost‑effectiveness.
• Collaborate with engineering staff on special inventory requirements.
• Analyze forecasting model outputs and work with engineering and procurement on supply‑related issues.
• Use AMMIS and ALMIS to generate requirements documents, create Unsatisfactory Reports, and monitor aviation inventory.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with excellent written and verbal English communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of supply/logistics experience, including aviation inventory management beyond the Supply Technician level.
• Experience managing registration coding, inventory consolidation, long lead‑time items, and multiple supply sources.
• Knowledge of USCG or DoD aircraft logistics support practices.
