Logistician 2

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Logistician 2 to assist a multi-functional team in the development, procurement and manufacture of unique devices for the Government. You will act as a subject matter expert, working directly with program managers and engineers. The position is Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.

Key responsibilities

• Work with Engineering to fulfill material requirements for device development
• Track and inventory all Contractor Acquired property for the organization
• Use the government tracking system (JIRA) to access purchase requests and complete them on time
• Track purchases from order to delivery and keep JIRA up to date
• Use Excel and AI assistance to prepare support documentation for purchase invoicing
• Follow safety, quality and procedure-compliance requirements, including training, emergency response and safety committee participation

Required profile

• 10 years of experience as a Logistician
• High school diploma or GED equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business or supply chain management is preferred but not required
• TS/SCI security clearance (MPO TS/SCI poly)
• Ability to drive between the corporate office and laboratory

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Attention to detail and time management
• Preferred: AI-assisted workflow automation and Javelin
