Logistic Technician

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Logistic Technician to support facilities operations at Gwinnett Technical College. This full‑time, day‑shift position involves light‑duty maintenance and logistics tasks that keep campus spaces safe, clean, and functional.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and sweep mechanical rooms and other campus areas.
• Move maintenance materials, install ceiling tiles, and assist technicians with tools and supplies.
• Perform routine inspections of minor equipment and conduct trash removal and job‑site clean‑up.
• Provide occasional custodial support, set up events and furniture, replace light bulbs, perform basic painting, and change door hardware.
• Clean roof drains and assist other divisions within the Facilities Department as needed.

Required profile

• Any combination of training and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the role.
• At least six months of custodial or minimal maintenance experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift and push up to 50 lb.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a “can‑do” attitude.
