About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is looking for a Contract Locum Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to deliver inpatient care at its Benton‑Bryant Hospital. This temporary position supports the internal medicine team and ensures high‑quality patient care across varying shifts.

Key responsibilities

Provide direct inpatient nursing care to patients under the internal medicine service.
Work flexible, varying shifts as required by the unit’s schedule.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient treatment plans.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
Adhere to UAMS policies, safety protocols, and infection‑control standards.

Required profile

Active RN license with APRN credentials.
Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Full COVID‑19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption.
Ability to work varying shifts in an inpatient hospital setting.
