Local CDL-A Truck Driver – $32.39/hr

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking a Local CDL‑A City Pickup & Delivery (P&D) driver for its Columbiana, OH service center. You will be home every night, handling multiple stops each day while delivering and picking up freight within the city and returning to the terminal daily.

Key responsibilities

• Perform city delivery and pickup of freight with multiple stops per shift.
• Operate scanning equipment to track loads.
• Interact directly with customers and provide professional service.
• Complete lift‑gate deliveries using an electric pallet jack when required.
• Return to the terminal each day after completing assignments.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A license with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience in the past 3 years.
• Good driving record (MVR/PSP) with no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past 3 years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if FMCSA transition criteria are met).
• Ability to pass a pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift, and stoop safely.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.

Required skills

• CDL Class A operation.
• Scanning equipment operation.
• Electric pallet jack operation.
• Haz‑mat endorsement (preferred).
• Doubles/Triples endorsement (preferred).
