Loader Operator

About the role

Granite Construction is seeking a reliable Loader Operator to join its crew. You will operate a front‑end loader to move bulk materials safely and efficiently across construction sites, supporting the company’s infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a straight or articulated rubber‑tired loader, shifting gears, pressing pedals, and steering as needed.
• Control levers to lower, tilt, raise, and dump the hydraulic bucket while loading and unloading material.
• Transport material to storage, processing areas, conveyors, hoppers, trucks, or railcars.
• Perform routine maintenance such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning the equipment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Proper certification for operating a front‑end loader.
• Relevant training and experience with heavy equipment.
• Commitment to safety, ability to work in dusty or dirty environments, and follow instructions.
• Physical ability to stoop, bend, lift up to 50 lb and frequently handle objects up to 25 lb.
