Litigation Legal Assistant (Hybrid) – Bend, OR

About the role

Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt is seeking a full‑time Litigation Legal Assistant for its Bend, OR office. The position follows a hybrid work model, with remote days on Monday and Friday and on‑site work Tuesday‑Thursday after an initial 30‑day onboarding period.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality legal administrative support to lawyers and paralegals, focusing on document editing, formatting, and proofreading.
• Prepare, revise, and finalize shell legal documents such as pleadings, briefs, and correspondence.
• Prepare and electronically file documents in federal, state, and appellate courts across the United States, ensuring compliance with each jurisdiction’s local rules.
• Manage calendars for client meetings, litigation and appellate deadlines, court appearances, and internal milestones.
• Verify legal citations using appropriate citation tools.
• Maintain organized electronic files, assist with matter opening and closing procedures, and ensure confidentiality.
• Proof, finalize, and submit attorney time entries for accurate billing.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in litigation support.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes and court rules.
• Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.

Required skills

• E‑filing in Oregon, Washington, federal, and appellate courts.
• Legal citation tools.
