Litigation Associate – Complex Casualty (1-4 yrs) – Ft. Lauderdale

About the role

Marshall Dennehey, P.C. is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its Complex Casualty practice in Fort Lauderdale. The role offers early responsibility on high‑exposure civil litigation matters for Fortune 500 clients, with mentorship from senior attorneys.

Key responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions and conduct witness examinations.
• Draft, file, and argue substantive motions.
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation.
• Handle a diverse docket covering premises liability, negligent security, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defects, civil rights, and commercial auto/trucking litigation.
• Collaborate with senior counsel to develop strategy for complex, multi‑claim, catastrophic loss cases.

Required profile

• 1–4 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in complex casualty matters.
• Strong judgment, organizational ability, and strategic thinking.
• Willingness to work hands‑on in discovery and trial preparation.
• Commitment to professional growth and long‑term career development.
