Linux System Administrator – Platform Operations

About the role

Synergy ECP is seeking experienced Linux System Administrators to manage, maintain, and secure enterprise‑level computing environments supporting U.S. intelligence and defense missions. The role involves ensuring high availability, robust security, and continuous improvement of Linux platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux systems across the enterprise.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and guarantee uptime.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security configurations.
• Support patching, upgrades, and system hardening activities.
• Automate routine administrative tasks using scripting.
• Collaborate with networking and security teams to enforce best practices.

Required profile

• Strong Linux administration experience.
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting.
• Solid understanding of system monitoring, performance tuning, and networking fundamentals.
• Knowledge of security best practices and system hardening.
• U.S. citizenship with TS/SCI clearance and polygraph.
