Linux Administrator (SA2) – Government

About the role

AT&T Global Public Sector seeks a Linux Administrator (SA2) to support a government customer site in Laurel, MD. The role is onsite five days a week and involves designing architecture and developing solutions in a hybrid cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Linux architecture to meet organizational needs.
• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux instances across multiple networks and architectures.
• Automate processes using scripting and configuration‑management tools.

Required profile

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Ten years of Systems Administrator experience on comparable programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (or five additional years of SA experience).
• Compliance with DoD 8570.01‑M, minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA).

Required skills

• Strong Linux administration (configuration, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting).
• Scripting/automation with Bash, Python, Puppet, and/or Ansible.
• Experience with AWS services, especially EC2 Auto Scaling.
• Proficiency with aws‑cli and boto3.
