Line Operator

About the role

Petoskey Plastics is seeking a dedicated Line Operator to join its sustainable plastics manufacturing team. You will work on advanced recycling technology that transforms post‑consumer materials into high‑quality films, bags, and resins while supporting the company’s eco‑friendly mission.

Key responsibilities

• Operate assigned production lines safely and efficiently, meeting productivity, quality, and scrap targets.
• Follow established safety procedures, including Lock Out Tag Out, machine guarding, and 6S housekeeping standards.
• Perform quality checks, first‑piece approvals, and adhere to Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
• Review and interpret production schedules, work orders, blueprints, and specifications.
• Monitor and document output, downtime, resin usage, and quality data; input data into computer systems.
• Prepare, stage, and organize materials, equipment, and tooling required for production runs.
• Assist with job changes and line modifications as needed.

Required profile

• Consistent attendance and punctuality during scheduled work hours.
• Willingness to attend all required meetings and safety trainings.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety rules.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Required skills

• Experience with Plascontrol system.
• Familiarity with gravimetric process control equipment.
• Computer data entry for production and resin tracking.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and production schedules.
