About the role

Join the culinary team at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace and create high‑quality dishes that delight guests and teammates. This full‑time line cook position offers a fast‑paced environment where your attention to detail and passion for food directly shape the guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Set up equipment and ingredients before each service.
• Read and prepare menu items quickly and accurately according to recipes.
• Prepare meals for team members.
• Perform inventory checks on perishable items and alert leadership of near‑expiration products.
• Assist with banquet preparation and production to meet client expectations.
• Clean, organize, and secure coolers and prep areas at shift end.
• Store food correctly, following labeling and rotation procedures.
• Maintain food quality and sanitation standards before, during, and after service.
• Support the team with additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Basic kitchen experience, including knife skills and sanitation knowledge.
• Ability to follow recipes and Chef instructions.
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and stations.
• Understanding of food waste control.
• Ability to read orders from the POS system.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
