Line Cook – Food Services Technician

About the role

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is seeking a part‑time Line Cook to join its Food Services team. Working in the Best Café and supporting Special Events, you will help deliver high‑quality, seasonal fare to museum visitors and event guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items such as sandwiches, soups, salads, pizza, and other casual fare.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations.
• Assist with food preparation for special events, including weddings, corporate receptions, and holiday parties.
• Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely service during peak museum hours.

Required profile

• Experience working in a fast‑paced kitchen or café environment.
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency in food quality.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
