About the role

Discovery Land Company is seeking a Line Cook for its Atlantic Fields location near Hobe Sound, FL. The role supports the Food and Beverage – Culinary Department, delivering exceptional dining experiences for members, guests, and prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Stock the kitchen with raw materials and ingredients daily.
• Master all basic cooking methods.
• Acquire ingredients daily for the assigned station.
• Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards while maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Maintain and clean equipment regularly.
• Promptly report any hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment needing repair.
• Adhere to Department of Health food and safety standards.
• Comply with company and department policies and procedures.
• Keep kitchen and storage areas clean and organized at all times.
• Execute recipes accurately and efficiently.
• Plate and present food according to standards.
• Develop extensive knowledge of all menu items and ingredients.
• Respond promptly to guest needs during all interactions.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of full‑service restaurant experience as a Line Cook (preferred).
• Farm‑to‑table experience highly desired.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Team‑oriented mindset and ability to stay calm during busy periods.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English (additional languages a plus).
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 50 lb, and to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to adapt to new projects in a fast‑paced environment.
