Lightweight Sales Engineer

About the role

Walter USA is seeking a Lightweight Sales Engineer to act as the technical‑commercial interface with customers in the lightweight/PCD segment across the Toledo/Detroit area. The role combines deep technical expertise with structured sales execution to drive growth and support strategic projects.

Key responsibilities

• Create and implement sales activities, conduct 2–3 customer visits per day, and serve as the primary contact for PCD/Lightweight at strategic accounts.
• Provide expert guidance on machining processes, cutting tools, PCD applications, tool setup and programming, and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations and Business Developers to ensure quotation quality, feasibility and timely delivery.
• Support strategic customer projects, prototype phases and qualification work, and contribute to global knowledge‑sharing.
• Manage a portfolio of 6–8 accounts, meeting revenue, ROI and KPI targets, and maintain disciplined CRM usage.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in cutting tools, aerospace, automotive or machining industries in engineering, sales or product management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and user‑level proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Proven ability to build technical relationships and understand commercial management.
