Life Safety / Low Voltage Lead Technician

About the role

CamNet Inc. is looking for a skilled Lead Technician to serve as the on‑site authority for life‑safety and low‑voltage system installations. The role blends hands‑on technical work with leadership, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Complete installations and service work on schedule, minimizing rework and punch‑list items.
• Ensure full compliance with NFPA, NEC, AHJ, and local codes for fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, nurse call, intercoms, and other low‑voltage systems.
• Lead on‑site coordination, maintain accurate documentation and as‑built drawings, and act as the primary technical authority.
• Enforce safety policies, conduct inspections, and maintain a clean, code‑compliant work environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Low‑Voltage / Life‑Safety Technician/Installer.
• Strong work ethic, punctuality, professionalism, and ability to lift heavy objects.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel within the state.
• Pass a security/criminal background check.

Required skills

• Installation and troubleshooting of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, nurse call, and intercom systems.
• Panel programming and standardized low‑voltage wiring practices.
• Networked and IP‑based device configuration and testing.
• BICSI certification and construction cabling experience (preferred).
