Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

About the role

Rivermont Schools seeks a Licensed Professional Counselor to support students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. The counselor will collaborate with educators, families, and clinical teams to create a safe, supportive environment for student growth.

Key responsibilities

• Organize caregiver and family participation activities to strengthen student support and engagement.
• Provide individual and group therapy services based on student needs and treatment goals.
• Oversee PBIS planning, facilitate meetings, and guide classroom staff on behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate with families, schools, and outside agencies to improve care quality and student outcomes.
• Complete student assessments within thirty days of enrollment and coordinate tele‑psychiatry services as needed.

Required profile

• Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or family development.
• Active LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license (or eligibility for licensure) and active Mandt certification.
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavioral health, and therapeutic interventions.
• Clinical experience supporting children and adolescents in educational or behavioral health settings.

Required skills

• Experience delivering individual and group therapy.
• Familiarity with PBIS planning and behavior support strategies.
