About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide supervisory nursing care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in community residential and day‑service settings. Working under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will lead a team, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and deliver person‑centered health services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, medication administration, and health assessments to residents.
• Coordinate and schedule medical appointments, including transportation to and from services.
• Document nursing interventions, health data, and compliance reports accurately.
• Conduct health‑related training for unlicensed personnel and perform quality‑assurance checks.
• Ensure adherence to DBHDD, DCH, and CMS regulations across CRA, CLS, and Day Services.
• Support the RN in supervising staff and maintaining a safe, respectful environment.

Required profile

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
• Experience working with individuals who have intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Ability to operate under RN supervision and lead unlicensed staff.
• Strong knowledge of relevant state and federal health regulations.
• Commitment to a person‑centered approach and high standards of confidentiality.
