Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Full-Time, 12‑hour Shifts

About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct, compassionate nursing care to individuals recovering from substance use and co‑occurring mental health disorders at Indiana Treatment Center in Columbus. Working under the supervision of an RN or clinical supervisor, the LPN helps maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and supports each client’s recovery journey.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care and support as directed by an RN or clinical supervisor.
• Conduct basic nursing assessments, monitor vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and patient stability.
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.
• Document observations, report significant findings, and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Assist with medication inventory management and ensure compliance with handling policies.
• Provide patient education, support discharge planning, and serve as a point of contact for patients and families within the LPN scope.

Required profile

• Current LPN licensure in Indiana.
• Experience in a residential or treatment‑center setting preferred.
• Ability to work 12‑hour shifts on a 3‑day workweek, including night or day schedules.
• Strong communication skills and a trauma‑informed, patient‑centered approach.
