Licensed LVN/RN School Nurse (On-Call)

About the role

We are seeking a licensed LVN or RN to serve as an on‑call school nurse in Laguna Niguel. The position provides health care services to students, administers prescribed medications, and responds to medical emergencies during school hours.

Key responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications according to physician and parent instructions and maintain related records.
• Assess students’ medical conditions, provide first aid, CPR/AED, and treat minor injuries.
• Maintain inventory of first‑aid supplies, order and distribute kits as needed.
• Respond to parent and staff inquiries regarding health policies, laws, and regulations.
• Assist with care of special‑needs students as directed.
• Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Nursing and at least one year of professional nursing experience in a public or private health setting.
• Valid California LVN or RN license.
• Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications from a recognized training program.
• Ability to obtain California Department of Justice fingerprint clearance and TB clearance.

Required skills

• Medication administration, including injections and oral meds.

• Catheterization procedures.
• Gastrointestinal tube feeding.
• Use of nursing equipment and supplies.
