Level 2 IT Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Level 2 IT Support Engineer to join our team in the Baton Rouge Metropolitan Area. You will provide advanced technical assistance, manage client systems, and ensure reliable IT operations for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain client servers, networks, and infrastructure components.
• Respond to client inquiries, delivering timely technical support and issue resolution.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems.
• Install, configure, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and related hardware.
• Implement security measures to protect client environments.
• Create and update documentation for systems, configurations, and support procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT professionals to deliver integrated support.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in IT support with a focus on system administration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols, configurations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server, CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
