Legal Intern - Summer 2027

About the role

Avis Budget Group is offering a 10-week summer legal internship (Summer 2027) as part of its Accelerate internship program. The internship takes place at the World HQ in Parsippany, NJ, and includes learning the department, professional development workshops, meetings with leaders, networking with senior leadership and visits to field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research on case law, statutes and regulations, and perform or assist with legal and factual research and writing
• Draft, compare and prepare legal documents, and review, investigate and respond to subpoenas, small claims matters and legal inquiries
• Manage litigation documents, create and maintain legal holds, enter cases into Legal Tracker and support discovery responses
• Review and analyze contracts, and assist with legal operations data analysis and reporting
• Create internal presentations and reports for senior management, and support compliance, RIM and privacy tasks

Required profile

• Active enrollment in law school
• Ability to work 40 hours per week at the World HQ in Parsippany, NJ
• Understanding of legal research methodologies and professional work ethic
• Discretion with confidential information

Required skills

• Proficiency to advanced computer skills, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe and PowerPoint
• Analytical ability, attention to detail and clear oral and written communication
• Organization, time and project management, and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

The hourly rate is $30. Specific tasks depend on the applicant's capabilities.
