Legal Counsel – Renewable Energy EPC

About the role

Our client, a leading renewable‑energy independent power producer, is seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join its EPC team. The attorney will support construction, procurement and commercial matters across a portfolio of utility‑scale solar, wind and battery‑storage projects, working in a flexible hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate and manage EPC, equipment supply, O&M, master services and vendor agreements.
• Identify and mitigate contract risks, including warranties, change orders, delays and claims.
• Collaborate with legal, construction, procurement, development, finance and operations teams to ensure sound contractual compliance.
• Provide advice on dispute resolution, claim handling and project execution issues.
• Maintain contract documentation and support post‑execution contract administration.

Required profile

• J.D. degree and an active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, preferably in EPC, construction or renewable‑energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally with technical and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills.
