About the role

The Section Assistant provides essential legal support within a state agency, handling inmate‑time calculations, legal documentation, and procedural tasks. This entry‑level position offers the opportunity to work closely with attorneys and paralegals in a regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate inmate time and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare, review, and file legal documents and correspondence.

Required profile

• Associate's degree or completion of an ABA‑approved legal assistant program.
