About the role

Mercor is seeking a Legal Analyst to develop and evaluate personal‑legal and administrative tasks for AI‑driven platforms. The role is fully remote and operates on a contract basis, supporting a range of document‑review and dispute‑resolution scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Design long‑term tasks that simulate personal legal and admin work, with deterministic rubrics for performance evaluation.
• Create contract‑review scenarios (leases, offer letters) using clause‑checklists that include seeded problematic terms.
• Develop dispute‑resolution tasks such as HOA and small‑claims responses, ensuring legally sufficient outcomes.
• Assemble personal admin document‑prep packets aligned with required‑field lists for processes like name, address, or passport changes.
• Work independently and asynchronously, delivering checkable answers that meet high‑quality standards.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience as a paralegal, legal operations professional, or attorney.
• Hands‑on expertise in residential lease review, consumer insurance policy comparison, employment offer letter review, small‑claims or consumer disputes, or estate document organization.
• Comfort with personal‑legal artifacts such as redlines, dispute letters, comparison summaries, and checklist packets.
• Strong written communication with the ability to articulate reasoning step‑by‑step.
