Leasing Professional – The Rice

About the role

The Leasing Professional will coordinate marketing, leasing, and renewal strategies for The Rice community. The role focuses on achieving occupancy, revenue, and resident‑retention goals through full‑cycle leasing activities and resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all sales and leasing activities, including greeting prospects, qualifying leads, conducting tours, processing applications, credit and background checks, preparing lease packages, and ensuring smooth move‑ins.
• Inspect apartments before resident move‑in, verify readiness, and coordinate any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor conditions, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community policies on concessions and specials.
• Design and execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and internet marketing on platforms like Craigslist, Facebook, and email.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data, and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct full‑cycle leasing activities and provide excellent resident service.
• Attention to detail for apartment inspections and move‑in readiness.
• Awareness of local market trends and competitor activity.
• Experience creating and managing marketing programs to drive traffic.
• Proficiency with property management software for data tracking and reporting.
