Leasing Professional (Part-Time) – Charlotte, NC

About the role

The Leasing Professional will support the Alta West Morehead community in Charlotte, NC by driving leasing activity, ensuring resident satisfaction, and helping retain existing tenants. This part‑time position works Monday‑Friday with rotating weekend coverage, focusing on achieving occupancy and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospective residents, conduct tours, and showcase apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any maintenance issues, and ensure apartments are ready for new residents.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community policies on concessions and specials.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Maintain accurate records of unit availability, prospect activity, and resident data using on‑site property management software.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends.
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior leasing or sales experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools (e.g., Craigslist, Facebook, email campaigns).
