Leasing Professional (Lease Up) – North Austin

About the role

The Leasing Professional (Lease Up) drives occupancy, revenue, and resident retention by managing all leasing activities, from prospecting to move‑in and lease renewals, while ensuring resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tours, qualify prospects, process applications, perform credit and background checks, and prepare lease and move‑in packages.
• Inspect apartments before move‑in, coordinate any needed maintenance, and ensure units are ready for residents.
• Develop and execute short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (e.g., OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage resident data.
• Maintain show units and marketing corridors to company standards, and prepare the leasing office for daily operations.
• Follow up with prospects and new residents via email, calls, and thank‑you notes to ensure satisfaction and secure lease renewals.
• Prepare renewal letters, meet with renewing residents, and ensure timely execution of renewal documents.
• Respond promptly to resident and owner inquiries, documenting and escalating issues as needed.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance), and work in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel to assist other properties.

Required skills

• Experience with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in internet marketing tools including Craigslist, Facebook, and email platforms.
