About the role

Greystar is seeking a Leasing Professional to join its Hampton, Virginia community. The role focuses on driving occupancy, revenue, and resident satisfaction through effective marketing, leasing, and renewal activities.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, and show apartments.
• Process applications, perform credit and criminal background checks, and prepare lease packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate with maintenance to ensure readiness.
• Monitor market trends, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and manage concessions and specials.
• Execute marketing initiatives, including resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms such as Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and maintain resident data.

Required profile

• Experience performing sales and leasing activities in a residential community.
• Ability to conduct property tours, qualify prospects, and manage the lease signing process.
• Familiarity with local rental market conditions and competitor activity.
• Strong organizational skills to coordinate unit inspections and maintenance requests.

Required skills

• Proficiency with property management software such as OneSite or Yardi.
