Leasing Professional – Garden‑Style Community in Raleigh

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue, and resident retention for Legacy at Wakefield, a stabilized garden‑style community of 369 units in Raleigh, NC. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect qualification to move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments, process applications, and complete credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages, and coordinate smooth resident move‑ins.
• Inspect units before move‑in, confirm readiness, and schedule any needed maintenance.
• Monitor market and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans, and apply community concessions and specials.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record leasing activity, and manage prospect and resident data.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to greet, qualify, and guide prospective residents.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting tours, presenting leasing options, and handling resident inquiries.
• Ability to stay informed about local market trends and adjust leasing strategies accordingly.
• Detail‑oriented approach to lease preparation, unit inspections, and data entry in management software.

Required skills

• Proficiency with OneSite property management software.
• Proficiency with Yardi property management software.
• Experience using online marketing tools such as Craigslist.
• Experience using social media platforms like Facebook for leasing promotion.
