Leasing Professional for The Sommery Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will drive occupancy, revenue and resident retention for The Sommery community. You will manage the full leasing cycle, from prospect qualification to move‑in, while ensuring a high level of resident satisfaction throughout the lease term.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments and process applications.
• Perform credit and criminal background checks, prepare lease agreements and move‑in packages.
• Inspect units before move‑in, coordinate any necessary maintenance, and ensure apartments are ready for residents.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize on‑site property management software (OneSite, Yardi) to track availability, record traffic, manage prospect data and capture demographic information.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build rapport with prospective and existing residents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with OneSite property management software.
• Experience with Yardi property management software.
• Familiarity with online marketing tools such as Craigslist.
• Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook for marketing purposes.
