Leasing Professional for Republic Flats Community

About the role

The Leasing Professional will lead marketing, leasing and renewal activities for Republic Flats, a stabilized mid‑rise community of 330 units in Durham, NC. The role focuses on achieving occupancy targets, revenue goals and resident satisfaction through proactive prospect engagement and lease management.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and qualify prospects, conduct tours, show apartments and process applications, including credit and background checks.
• Prepare lease agreements, move‑in packages and ensure a smooth resident move‑in experience.
• Inspect units before occupancy, coordinate with maintenance to resolve any issues.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity, develop short‑ and long‑term marketing plans to sustain occupancy.
• Execute marketing initiatives such as resident referral programs, employer outreach, and online advertising on platforms like Craigslist and Facebook.
• Utilize property management software to track availability, record leasing activity and maintain prospect and resident data.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service orientation with the ability to build rapport with prospective and existing residents.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating weekends.
• Knowledge of local rental market dynamics.

Required skills

• Experience with property management systems such as OneSite or Yardi.
• Proficiency in online marketing tools, including Craigslist and Facebook.
• Ability to conduct credit screening and background checks.
